Soil Vapor Extraction Systems
WRScompass has extensive experience with soil vapor extraction (SVE) projects that includes both traditional extraction methods such as vertical and horizontal SVE vents or subsurface gravel beds and trenches and more contemporary, intrusive techniques, employing large-diameter augers.
Our expertise in deploying innovative technologies in the design and implementation of SVE projects has resulted in successful and effective site remediation. We frequently use SVE as part of or in combination with other remediation technologies. WRScompass has the capabilities to employ SVE with the following technologies:
-
Multiphase extraction methods including dual-phase or two-phase extraction
-
Air sparging combined with SVE to prevent fugitive vapor emissions and accelerate cleanup
-
SVE combined with passive venting, air injection, bioventing, or hot air injection
-
Enhanced groundwater recovery using SVE
WRScompass has experience in optimizing SVE operations including pulsed operation and optimizing multiple-phase extraction fluid recovery. We can also optimize and/or retrofit existing SVE systems to improve performance and enhance contaminant removal.
