Low Temperature Thermal Treatment

WRScompass has a successful track record in applying on site thermal treatment technologies to projects at manufactured gas plants (MGP) and other hazardous waste projects for industrial clients, U.S. Department of Defense (DOD), U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and other federal agencies.

Our experience includes remediation of more than 620,000 tons of contaminated soil and sludge at 19 sites: 17 sites utilized our expertise in Low Temperature Thermal Treatment and 2 were conducted via incineration. Our expertise includes on site thermal treatment of the following contaminants:

  • Volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
  • Semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs)
  • PCBs
  • Pesticides
  • Polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)
  • Dioxins

WRScompass owns and operates four Low Temperature Thermal Treatment units with production capacities ranging from less than 10 tons per hour to more than 40 tons per hour. We also operate a pilot-scale Low Temperature Thermal Treatment unit that demonstrates the efficacy of full-scale treatment. All units are trailer-mounted and easily transported to implement remediation at sites across the country.
