Landfill Capping and Closure
WRScompass provides landfill capping and closure of RCRA and solid-waste landfills throughout the U.S. These projects frequently involve subsurface leachate collection and transfer/treatment systems. They typically entail installation of networks of underground pipe, manholes, pumps, and control systems. Aboveground structures may be constructed to contain tanks and control systems. The demand for landfill capping services has grown rapidly since many cities have decided to develop land re-use strategies for completed landfills. Some of the most common usages are for parks, golf courses and other recreational facilities. Increasingly, however, the sites are used for office buildings and industrial facilities.
Landfill Construction
We construct new landfill cells and corrective action management units (CAMUs). We have the expertise with RCRA hazardous-waste-landfill standards to complete landfill construction projects of nearly any size and degree of complexity.
